LCRC NEWSLETTER
SPRING/SUMMER 2018

Dear Members

An action packed newsletter, full of club events for you all to enjoy.

Many of you will have enjoyed the winter suppers and talks, especially the highlight, listening to Mary King, who kindly came and gave us a lovely talk about her life and eventing career, this raised nearly £500 for the Devon Air ambulance, which we never know when we might need it, not too often I hope!

The Exmoor ride is only a few weeks away, fingers firmly crossed for nice weather to enjoy the moor at its best……

Teams are off to Bury Farm for the Intermediate dressage championships end of April,
and then to FOTH for the Combined training in May.
Good Luck to everyone and we will keep everyone updated with the regular emails.
Regarding emails, a new law for Data Protection comes into place at the end of May, I am awaiting correspondence from head office, it is likely we will need you all to sign a form and return, this gives us your consent to use your email details, more info will be sent out when we have it.

Hats: you will need to get them tagged for 2018 if you are planning on competing this season, at last RC, BE and PC have the same tags, and one tag does all! However, it is the responsibility of club members to ensure they are wearing a well-fitting, safe, up to date hat at all club events.
Rides: Members are advised to wear Hi Viz clothing on the club rides, this is for your own safety. With the rides becoming more popular it has been decided to limit the numbers to 15 + leaders / helpers on each ride, Brenda will hold a waiting list if needed.
